Ran across a really nice original condition 1900 16ga today with 28" steel barrels, no dents, no pitting, no cracks, smoothed checkering and hunting grade wood, great dimensions, and solid as a rock. The only wart was a broken or missing top lever return spring, an easy $30 fix. Price? A whopping $350. Someone please talk me off the ledge. Shocked

Please get it
I have a 1900 with ejectors and single trigger, what a fun gun even if it is in 12 gauge

It sounds like a steal for $350.00. A top lever spring is a cheap and easy fix. You could probably buy it, fix the lever and turn around and sell for twice what you paid, if you didn't like it.

I wish I had the $350.00 at the moment, to help remove you from the ledge. Sorry, I don't! Beside, you'll probably kick yourself later on if you don't allow yourself to fall off. Razz

Go for it. It's only the last inch or so that's problematic. Very Happy

Where's the Beauvais? You didn't get rid of it, did you? Rolling Eyes If you did, then you must buy the Remmie - no more back-and-forth! Razz

I did sell it. It had a couple mechanical issues that were becoming problematic, so I moved on. Depending on how it's choked (probably m/f), the 1900 would probably be my rough country upland w/spreaders/duck/turkey gun.

Absolutely go for it. (But if you decide not to, hook me up with the seller!)

Seems like a price that would be hard to walk away from.

If I decide not to go for it, I'll be sure to let everyone know who the seller is. I have another 16 hammer gun on layaway already, but this certainly is a good deal. Thanks!

I believe that there is new federal regulation in the works that says that anyone passing up a deal like that may never be allowed to purchase an "E" grade Lefever, at any price..

Much under appreciated guns. I replaced a lever spring on mine also.

Mine also has this massive reinforcing wedge. I have seen them on others and was wondering why on some and not on others.

Skeettix, is that single trigger factory.? None of my books list it.

While Remington Arms Co. never catalogued a single trigger for their Remington Hammerless Double Barrel Shotgun, they had a boat load of single trigger patents from the likes of C.E. De Long, E.H. Thorneley, G.E. Witherell, and several of E.D. Fulford's single trigger patent drawings were on the Remington gun. Charles Semmer sent me a listing of the serial numbers of single trigger guns that were at one time in the factory collection at Ilion, but I can't seem to lay my hands on it at the moment.

It seems from my observations that the "massive reinforcing wedge" is found on earlier guns and disappears about 1906?!? But it is certainly not on all pre 1906 guns.

Laughing I'll take that under advisement.
