Hi guys. I'm new to this forum. I have spent lots of time on double gun bbs and asked this question over there and didn't get any info. But for the RST Cheddite 16b 2 1/2" shell are there any good recipes for 1 oz loads? I know there are many for 7/8 oz, but I can't find any for the 1 oz and I know there must be because RST sells the heck out of 1 oz 16 ga loads. Thx. Buzz |

I have wondered the same thing for a long time. I am surprised no one has figured out or posted what RST uses for their 1 oz loads. If I was smarter I would try but I learned a long time ago to leave that up to the professionals. |

Looks like you get to be the professional. Take apart an RST shell. Which wad do they use? Probably a Gualandi. Look at the powder and see if it's familiar. Post pics here and we'll help I.D. Components. I would use the short SG16 and a dense powder like 20/28. Make up some loads and have them tested. It's not as scary as you think.
Regards,
Jeff |

A lot of the 1oz loads using the SG16 wad off the spreads sheets will work just fine in a 2 1/2 hull . You just have try them for correct height . If you need a little more room for your crimp try the SG16s wad .
RST uses the SG16 wads for their loads from 3/4oz to 1oz . |

Around 24g Longshot and a SG16 or SG16s should do the trick quite nicely I should think, although I prefer the herters hulls so I can cut them down to 2.5" and roll crimp them. A myriad of 1oz recipes work great if you roll crimp. |

If you email them, they might tell you. They told me their recipe for one of their 28ga loads |
