Meet Willa. She was born May 5th. She is one of the orange and white Britt pups. Mom is liver, dad is orange. She will be emergency back-up dog to main battle dog, Abby, her 3.5 year-old half sister.

2 tired out dogs on the way home. the 2nd pic is when I taught the female beagle to do a "doggy play course"

she used this technique to cross a swamp. I was floored that she remembered. I had walked around a swampy area and she jumped up on a log and walked across to me, instead of either going around or trudging through the mud/water

She's 14 , and she's been my bud since she was 3 weeks old , it really sucks , but I'm trying to give her a somewhat dignified end . She positively hates the vet's office -scares her to no end- and I don't want her last minutes to be filled with that kind of fear. She still wakes me up in the middle of the night wagging her tail so I think I'm still doing the right thing.

Some vets will come out to your home, or at least to your vehicle if the dog's comfortable there. Worth asking your regular vet and if not them they might know of another. Sorry for the day to come.

it's very hard to loose a beloved dog and I have lost a lot of them. The upper walls of my gun/fly fishing room has pics of my hunting dogs.
The first pic is Luke, my first Lab and the dog who taught me that a good hunting dog is also a good family dog. The 2nd pic is Zak, who could do it all. Duck/goose hunting in the morning and upland hunting in the afternoon. The third pic is of Jake a great pheasant and Chukar dog.

Emily and Jake. Emily thought that she was a Lab and was a great retriever and has pointed Quail, sharp tail, blue grouse, ruff grouse, Sage grouse, chukar and pheasant. Emily was the best dead bird finder that I have ever seen. She also worked duck and goose blinds as good as any Lab. My wife holding Emily when she was a pup.
