Well, my reloading is almost finished, the guns are ready, the dog is rounding into shape, and my grocery shopping for the trip is almost done -- two weeks from today I'll finally be in the field shooting at live birds again. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I think the off-season is too long. |

I don't know how many times in the last month I could have been ticketed for "distracted driving" watching the dove fly... |

I've been waiting all year!! last year I helped a dairy farmer friend of mine cut silage and got invited to his opening day hunt. It was the first real shoot I'd been to and had a blast. I was worried when I heard he wasn't going to have a hunt this year, but my father informed me last week that Ricky had mown some millet and had a peanut field ready to shoot. I had to use a borrowed 12 ga last year but recently went shopping for my own gun for this season. While I've always wanted a 16 ga what I was looking for that day was a 12 ga sxs, forgive me. what I found was a 16 ga 1100. since then have been surfin the net for info and just today found this site and joined. have thought about a reloading press seems like ya'll are a bunch of kind helpful good 'ol boys who dont mind helpin out a new 16 ga'er. |

Welcome to the fold, Jesse. You done good finding that 16 ga 1100. And this is a great site for all kinds of info. If you don't find what you need, just ask.
And keep your eyes peeled for that Ford fella! |

10 days. The cabin fever is almost over. All I need to do is walk out the back and load as I go over the cattle guard then "it on" ...
Oh but we are still in the 100's here in Texas. |

Our dove season here in Florida does not open until the first Saturday of October, so we have over a month to wait. My Lab and the 16's are ready to go.
You boys up north just keep driving them down here. We are waiting for them.
