Duncan:
I'd like to say he was on point here, but he was just whoa'd. There is a quail feather on his nose, though! |

Here's one of Dixie after a good day in the field and one of her Aunt Maggie after she told me the water was a bit too cool!

Rudyc, Aunt Maggie looks like Marty Feldman reincarnate. I wondered what happened to him. |

I'm in, here's my "family". Some of these may have been here before, if so sorry.
This is Diamond, my third generation and the best dog I will ever own, lost her 2 years ago at 13 yrs old.
Alex, her daughter with a nice pair of woodies, and a 16ga A5
Morgan, Alex's daughter, my 5th generation
Morgan with her aunt Jessie (Alex's half sister), a 2 man limit in N. Dakota
And a family pic,
Far left is Jessie, next is Tess, Morgan's littermate, then Morgan and Alex.
Nice crispy December day, at the pheasant preserve.
Life would be so bland without the dogs. |

Here is my GSP, Bode. 4 year old male with a prey drive that's off the charts.
Bode on point on a bobwhite quail.
Bode and his patented 3 bobwhite quail retrieve. This is in Alabama, a month later he repeated the three bird retrieve here in the Ozarks. Witnesses to both retrieves thank goodness. |

Here are my first two Llewellins, Will & Ed, on my dock at my home when I used to live in Winnipeg. They are focused on a woodie.
Here is Will again, relaxing up in the house.
This is Wind'em
And this is the only one left, Scout

Here's a short family photo history of the six springers I've owned.
My first, Charlie (a pup in 1983) after a day's hunt in 1993. His registered name is my board name.
Later '90s, my second springer, Sadie, with December two-man Iowa limit.
The third and best of my dogs, Abby, on a couple northern Minnesota grouse hunts, around 2000-2001.
Gypsy on a Minnesota pheasant hunt. She's now age 14.
Gypsy again, with Zuni, who's going on 9 now.
Zuni last fall, with newcomer Piper on the left.
Piper again ... she does not like the camera.
I'm going on 62, hoping to keep at it long enough for one more dog to hunt with Piper, into my 70s.

The count
Jackson Posing like the count
Jackson is neither good enough nor stylish enough to win any field trials. His pointing ability exceeds my shooting ability though so I guess I'm the one who makes out in the deal. |
