Interesting seeing this. Their ammo plant blew up last spring. I talked to the Rio reps about a month ago, They said they had no idea when the 12 and 20 ammo would be available. That was lead. I don't know about the bismuth. |

They're building a new plant in Marshall , Tx . Watch for Rio to be a big , big player in U.S. factory ammo . MAXAM (the parent company) doesn't play around. |

I would say so, a year after releasing their first bismuth loads they are already expanding to include three new gauges. One problem I have noted with Rio's 12ga 3" bismuth loads is that the wads do not contain a cushion section or buffer. So they are not as efficient as they could be. It will be interesting to see what types of wads they use for the 28ga and 16ga. |

I emailed Rio customer service asking about the pressure in these new loads. Not low pressure, but something is in the works.
Response from Rio:
We don't have the official pressures yet as the product is being produced in the next weeks and we have not got the test info yet. The velocity will be 1200 fps and the pressures will more than likely be in the 800 BAR range (11,600 psi). We would not recommend it for a vintage gun. The low pressure offerings are something we have in the works currently.
