Anybody out there that might want to part with some? Let me know what you have. I have a bunch of WAA16 wads and would like to use them in my Sweet 16. Thanks, John

You know what they say - if you have to ask the price you can't afford them.

We gave $200 per flat which was a little more than I wanted to spend but I wanted them.and some of my old hulls are getting kinda wore out so I did need them.

$20 per box seems reasonable enough- good buy and 500 CF could last many hunting trips, except maybe for doves Wink

Now that's a good woman .

I have 4 Flats that am trying to decide if I want to sell them or not . CF's are definitely the best .

I enjoy the hunt for "obsolete" ammunition almost as much as looking for that next gun I can't live without.

My last good score on Compression Formed AAs was 16 boxes of NOS 28ga skeet loads from one of my local gun shops. When I saw the price on them, I nearly tripped over myself getting them to the register...

A couple months ago, one of my customers asked me if I wanted some 16ga shells that one of his patients had given to him. Amongst the other assorted boxes of shells were 6 boxes of Winchester CF 16ga Dove & Quail loads.

Cheers
Marc

I visited my aunt and uncle this weekend, and we got to discussing reloading. (My uncle is a heck of a trapshooter, and has a significant 12 ga reloading stockpile.)

He mentioned how he couldn't "play" as much as he does buying factory ammo, and I commiserated with him over the cost of 16 ammo. Once I mentioned my 16 gauge habit, he started diggin through boxes, and tossed me half a bag of WAA16s. And then he came up with a box of probably 200 Win CF hulls Shocked and he didn't want ANYTHING for them!

They hadn't been touched in literally years (a thick layer of dust and a few cobwebs covered them, but they look to be in very good shape. Kept in the basement, dry and dark.... he claimed that he hadn't reloaded 16 in at least 20 years.

Some people have all the good relatives- My last uncle died years ago and my last aunt died a year or two back at age 92- I guess I'm the old uncle that is supposed to be the kindly gent that gives his nephews "good stuff"- But I don't have any nephews- just a couple nieces that don't know one end of a gun from the other; but there's hope- Some of my cousins have nice kids that aren't overly civilized. Smile

I have 10,000 once fired AA CF 16 gauge hulls. I only load 250 at a time as they can be reloaded at least 20 times. I shoot them in the Linder Daily I got a garage sale for $10. I never miss. I should have enough hulls for the next few years. Of course, I keep them in the same building as my unicorn.

Jeff

Great humor Very Happy Razz Laughing

I have a large cache of CF hulls but they never seem to get used.
All the junkier hulls seem to jump up to be loaded and released into
the big hull garden in the sky.

In addition, a lots of my loads are now 2 1/2 inch and I can NOT feel
comfortable in shortening a CF hull

Mike
