How would it work to shoot the CFs 'til the crimp was cracked, etc, then trim off a quarter inch, bevel the edge and reload now for 2 1/2"? |

Will work just fine , no need to skive the hull . I cut my CF and RGL hull down all the time . It does help to use the brass pre crimp from BPI the first time to get a sharper pre crimp memory rather than using the spindex pre crimp that come on the MEC s. As long as the load fits good (column height ) and you get a good firm crimp you won't have any problem with them wanting to open up. The RGLs are a non issue they stay closed with no problem
skeettex , you can send those CF hulls to me , I don't have a problem cutting them. down I get the same number of loads out of them cut or not. |

I have a large cache of CF hulls but they never seem to get used.
All the junkier hulls seem to jump up to be loaded and released into
the big hull garden in the sky.

My WW CF hulls have the same problem. Not sure who will last the longest, the hulls or me! |
