Hello,
Been a while since my last post but I have a question.
Local small shop was closing their doors and I purchased a few boxes of Fiocchi Optima Specific high Velocity 3 1/8 Dram equiv 1 1/8 oz #8.
Plan was to shoot it in my refurbished 1956 A5.
Is this ammunition too hot for my old gun?
I do not think so but better safe than sorry.

No not too hot at all , set it on the heavy setting and fling away . I have shot 1 1/4oz loads through all my A5s |

fn16ga,
Thanks for the reply. That is good to hear. This gun has been in the family for almost 60 years and did not want to have a problem over a box of ammunition.
My grandfather would use this A5 for deer hunting in southern Arkansas using slugs and buckshot so I felt that this ammunition would not be a problem. Better safe than sorry.
Come on Sept 1 for dove opening day.
