I have been thinking of buying a Browning BPS 16 gauge. But, I can't figure for the life of me why. I have a beautiful 6 pound Valmet O/U 16, a Belgian 16 SxS guild gun that shoots like a dream and is a hair over 6 pounds, and an old (though rattly, but still shoots) Model 12 in 16; not to mention my 20 gauge and my 12 gauge Browning Citories, and my Model 12 28 gauge. So why do I need another 16 gauge? Please help. Talk me out of it.

Imagine someone gave you a box of 16ga steel shot. What would you do with it?
I see a solution. |

You're right; dont buy it (usually when somebody tells me not to do something it makes me want to do it all the more ). |

Okay, I'll give it a try. Your feeling sleepy, very sleepy....
Buy the gun and give it to ME!
And now your waking, refreshed and waking. |

Rather than the BPS, get a Rem M31L, smoother action, and you have a piece of history.
AND it doesn't have any plastic in it, AND the barrel connects via threads vs a slip-fit.
There! does that give you any pause? I doubt it .

I drank this Kool-Aid, and will have the BPS Upland in my paws next week.

Buy it. I figure at my age I may as well buy any 16 gauge that catches my eye, and whispers in my ear. We ain't coming back this way again, and might as well enjoy the ride. |

Oldfolks, I like your way of thinking! I also like your slogan at the bottom of your post.
Damn true words.
