Hey guys,
I've had a lot of luck using the factory Federal factory 15/16oz @ 1350FPS #4 load, and I'm wondering if anyone has any load data that comes close to replicating these or something between 1300-1400FPS? Hopefully using STEEL powder and the VP80 wad. I have a good supply of Cheddite hulls.
I've used a faster load (7/8oz @ 1560 IIRC) from BP, but in some guns appreciate the lighter recoil of the slower loads. I've reloaded shotshells before, but have always followed the recipe to a "T". Can I just reduce the powder charge of the faster load a bit? I'm more in my element with rifle reloading and of course there's starting and max loads with cartridges.
