I came into a nice stash of Remington R-16 wads. Thanks blrmkr83, nice to chat with you today! Darn near filled my little car with hulls and wads.
I don't see much for data on the spreadsheets with current Remington hulls. I do see a 7/8 oz load, but the 1 oz. loads is very old data using #57 primers.
Does anyone have a tested 1 oz. load using a R-16 in a Remington hull using a 209 primer? Prefer to be 1200 fps +-50 fps. |

go to hogdon"s shotgun data site thier are some good sp-16 loads on the list the wads only differ in hight. I use 21 grs Long shot with either ,R16 uses a touch of wad pressure |

I was looking at that Longshot data and 21 gr. looks to be the sweet spot. What primer are you using? |
