I suppose I could sprinkle some mica on the shot, but the only time there's a problem is when I load for the 410. The shot drop tube is so small that the shot forever bridges and binds between the bushing and the hull- and what's worse- when I am folding up shot I end up with a couple ounces of 7.5 shot all over the bench because I thought the tube had drained when in fact it hadn't. Fortunately I don't load for 410 very much and the tube for the regularly used 16 ga has plenty of clearance. I guess there's a message in that for me. |

For the 410 and 7 1/2 shot I use a dipper and leave the shot bottle empty.
Lots slower but no bridged shot all over the place.
Now for HARD 9s it is full speed ahead

you got it Mike - dippers all the way ! Same for reclaimed shot . Take the dippers from the Lee kits and an inexpensive digital scale and see what they all drop . Do the same with my MEC bars measureing shot thru the powder drops . |
