I have noticed the identical hull (with a different head stamp, of course) is being used by Winchester in their discount loads. Identical inside and out. They're Cheddites. I'm talking about 12's, as was the originator of this thread. And for once, a nice 6-point crimp on Winchesters. I have shot the Estates, not the Winnies. No problem. These are absolutely great hulls to re-load, especially for automatics where I don't want to lose good STS's or AA's, so it's "shoot and release".

Of course, Winchester silver box game loads in 16 have been Cheddites for a long time, high brass or low.

In response to "rdja's" request for information about the 12ga French made Estate ammo: It was Lot: 120204W3 manufacture date on box 15/04/2013.

I should have included it in my first post. Federal has already reimbursed me for the value of the unfired ammo that was shipped back to them at their expense.
