I am considering purchasing an order of Hevi-weight 13 or ITX 13 in #6 for some turkey loads, however, I doubt I need 7 to 10 pounds of the stuff. I am looking for a 'partner' or 2 that might want to have enough for a box or 2 of turkey loads themselves?
I might even consider some of you less desirable types from Minnesota or Wisconsin since I do tend to make trips up there once every few months.
We could work out the details on how the deal would work since we still have a few months before turkey season!
If no one is interested I might just purchase a 2.2 pound amount of Nice Shot. |

I believe the heavy weight 13 and and ITX is to hard to use in older ( no steel rated barrels ) If that is what you are trying to accomplish . I would use lead over Nice shot unless you need non tox . |

I am looking to make up some non toxic when needed. I will likely use the bps so tungsten is not an issue for me.
But thank you for looking out for my guns! |

Gil,
Sorry I did not see your question.
In Iowa I can use 4 - 8 in lead shot or 2 - 8 non toxic shot.
Outside your question, but Iowa does not allow 28 ga or 410 ga shots guns on turkey. |

What do the turkeys think of using one of the smaller gauges? I mean the feathered turkeys that go gobble gobble. |

I would say it depends on the turkey.
Thank god turkeys didn't come from Scotland, they would refuse to die to anything smaller than a 10 gauge I'm sure!
Smaller gauges (and possibly non slug shot) would all be an insult to them!
Sorry feeling a bit loopy today it must be deer hunting in -30 degree weather for 2 full days. |

I got bored and killed a gobbler with a 28 ga and six shot last year. Got it out of my system. This year it'll be the Pink Panther's step-brother model 12/16. Looking forwRd to that (Sir William). Reno |
