I was in a local gunshop today and spotted a near mint Ithaca 37 20ga, with a ring-tail forearm, 28" mod plain barrel. I've already have a 16ga 37 and it sure could use a little brother. The dealer was only asking $300 which is a good price for a 20ga 37. The few 20ga I've seen were beaters and were going for around $350. It's not a 16ga but it's calling my name. |

Matt,
They'll need to pray for more than one sinner.
Lord willing and subject to my approval upon arrival my new VHE Parker 20 should be here next week.
I look at it this way. As long as at the end of the year or upon my passing to the great covey rise in the sky I have more 16's than anything else god should show mercy.
Of course I'm Jewish so depending on who you talk to I may have a special exemption or be totally S.O.L anyway.
Good luck,
Brad |

Matt,
Charity begins in the home, and it was quite kind of you to offer adoption to that red-headed step child. As it was an Ithaca 37, I can understand the temptation. But your only hope for redemption is to provide your 16 ga Ithaca many opportunities of bringing home future gourmet dinners, thereby allowing the 20 gauge to understand its place in life. Which is what you may ask? Life as a rain gun or of a loaner gun. Provided you of course haven't kicked that step-child out of the house after taking the wrong shells or the wrong gun! |

Matt,
UPS is bringing a 20ga Sterlingworth my way as we speak. Sounds like you have a lot of company, sinner!

Matt,
I recently purchased a Sporting CLays gun in 12ga. It rained here hard for a few days and we had some flooding, but I survived.
You'll be ok but strange things will happen to you for a while that can't be explained. |

Yup, at the place.
The RBL's that I have seen pics of do look nice, especially for the $$. I don't know that the quality will be any better than some of the others you can buy for around the same $$$. |

Dove season opened with my Citori stock project still not finished, and my M12 unable to digest the only cheapo 16 ga loads I could find. Shot the opener with my 20 ga Superposed and had a 10 bird limit almost too quickly with just 25 shells. Best I've ever done. Sinning is occasionally fine, certainly fun. |

The Rev can tell you what sends you to hell, but I don't think owning a 20ga. is even close. My buddy had a Model 37 20 ga and loved it up to the minute it was stolen. Grace had him replace it with a Fox 16 SxS. Variety is the spice of life! |

Try telling my wife that. Every time she sees a new one come into the house it's, "Another one?" She just hasn't learned after all these years. |
