I just joined the group, but have been lurking here for about 2 weeks. I wanted to say Howdy, and let ya'll know I think this place is great.

About a month ago I bought a 16 ga 870 in a garage sale. Thought I was going to give to my son. Then I took to a range and shot the thing. Well now he will get the 12 ga.

I found this sight while looking for ammo. Didn't know how difficult that was going to be.

Any way, thanks for the great info I have been able to pickup around here.

Welcome. Interesting name you chose, is there a story behind it?

Jeff

It's the name of a town in West Texas that reminds me of my grandad working in his truck garden behind a couple of long ears. The most fun was the new words I learned.

Welcome. You may learn a few new words here, also. I did. Like Whirlingworth, and some other odd names given to other shooters shotguns. The meanings are about the same as the words your Grandfather used on the mules....

Welcome Muleshoe! Been through the same town myself. Beware that one 16 tends to beget more 16s. Laughing

Muleshoe Tx.

Being that I spent 10 years in Roswell NM, I have been through Muleshoe a time or two.

I would hang on to the Model 12's. Me and my youngest son have two 16 ga/s and we would not trade them for the world.

Howdy Muleshoe,

When I saw your moniker I wondered if you are from Muleshoe, Texas. That's about 45 miles down the road from me here in Lubbock, Texas.

Welcome to the wonderful world of 16 gauges. They are the best gauge out there for upland birds and are nicely complimented by the 28 gauge which is something the heathens who believe in 12 and 20 gauges will never understand.

Welcome and hope you learn a lot about the best gauge out there.
