Has anyone had any loads tested for this wad? I got some samples, but not experienced enough to feel like I can 'play' with them and I am too cheap to get them tested myself.
Is there a correlation to CB100 load data you can make since it seems to be just a minor adjustment to the shot cup?
I am just not knowledgeable enough about reloading to understand the risk.
Let me give you a for instances using hodgdon 1 oz posted data:
Rem Hull - PB Powder - Win Primer - CB100 - 1,200 FPS - 11,000 PSI
If I changed nothing but the shot to 7/8 oz and the wad to the CB0078 what would be the result? I assume there might be a small weight difference in the wad due to the extra plastic base in the shot cup, but I don't see that being enough to make up the loss of shot.
I would like to use it in the 1200-1220 range of speed.
If the pressure was more around 9,000 I would feel more comfortable so I feel the need to ask since its closer to the high range. |

| When I called them about data, they said to use dr16 data. |

| I did use DR16 data for those wads in a Remington RGL hull…….nice stuff. |

Remington RGL 2 3/4" hull
Winchester 209 primer
21.0 grs. Universal powder
CB 0078-16 wad
7/8 oz. lead shot
Gonna guess the velocity between 1300 & 1350 FPS |
