I also have a Husqvarna Model 51 hammer double in 12 bore that I thought I'd like to try Magtech smokeless loads in. |

I just got off of the phone with Tom Armbrust and he said Magtech hulls can be used successfully with smoke less powder, providing the wads fit tightly and the shell mouth is sealed adequately. He said that he has pressure tested loads that reloader's have sent to him. |

I use my m51 in CAS shoots, but with real gunpowder. |

Hi
just joined the 16 gauge society and came across this post.
I recently acquired a Stevens 28 gauge single shot with 2& 1/2" chamber and along with that acquisition some Magteck brass shells.
just wondering if anyone had any recipes.

I do use the larger diameter wads as you suggest. When I load these brass hulls with black powder, the large pistol primer works well and I get the performance expected. However, smokeless powders don't seem to ignite as well and the performance is very bloopy.
