I have discussed before but still not sure what these are or what data to load them back with. Had factory 8 fold crimp shot plastic wrapped and fiber wad.[img][URL=http://s1374.photobucket.com/user/fourtimes4/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpszjkwed1r.jpg.html]

To my knowledge, there were no steel head compression formed 16 gauge hulls.
Use Cheddite or Win poly formed data

I have been told these are Reifenhauser style hulls. These were purchased in the mid 1990's. I guess Winchester was in a hull transition for 16 ga. then
Thanks Mike |

These are constructed very close to the AA-HS so the load data for the CF should work for these. I will start looking for data for target in a 1 oz, thanks again Mike |

Mike,
I have about 150 of the last Win CF promo loads made that were marked "Pheasant" and "Dove and Quail" that have steel rims. They are the same height and look exactly the same. I had a hard time believing it myself but the magnet doesn't lie. I would guess that the last promos marked "Rabbit and Squirrel" might have the steel rims also.
Guess Winchester was trying to save money everywhere they could.
Would be glad to PM you a pic of one with the primer removed attached to the magnet if you would like. Don't want to go thru everything involved to post a pic here. |
