I believe the standard response is "We will be testing a new batch in the next few weeks and they should be available shortly after that."
I don't know what is going on at Down Range, but I am formulating plans for a world without the DR16, which would be less than ideal. Maybe Clay Buster could run some?
Wadless,

I know the pain ! Shot some trap with the 5/8 loads and the gooseneck 48 - had an 18 and 19 ! 60 wads left . The thing about claybuster and that wad is the mold is at DR . Don't know , and respect Nick plenty , so don't ask about those things . Till then , am getting by with fed20SI wads and some funny sounders are probably in the offing ! |

Had a NICE chat with Kevin today
All physical plastic conditions have been met and he
is awaiting one last quality check approval.
Once he receives that, production will start in earnest and go
full speed ahead.
Kevin is to be commended for his stance that he will NOT send out a sub-standard wad just to get something on the market

Just got off the phone with Recob's 45 seconds ago. They unloaded their DR order this noon and no DR-16s on this shipment. The nice lady on the phone told me that they spoke with DR recently and they are testing product and expect to be making wads soon. Please refer to my prior post from May 17th.

If the Empire had simply supplied everyone with DR16s there never would have been a Rebellion. |

If you cross Rome apples with Empires apples would you get Roman Empires apples. Or is this Empire the other of which you speek , Adobe Juan ? |

As a father of a small child I currently get to enjoy all my childhood things again. Lately that is baseball and Star Wars. Course I am way tooooooo young to have seen the original at the movies .
But the true blessing there is i don't have to try to forget the 70's (or maybe in some of your cases remember them)! |

The last measure is to pass my inspection !!!!!!
The wads are to land on my doorstep by the first of the week.
I will test the batches and nix or approve the samples .
At my blessing the wads will flow .
I am sorry about this bottleneck.
When the mold went in for repair for the broken heel blocks it slowed the process down a bit.
The wad will not go away as I own the mold , but I cannot assume the liabilities and have to rely on the gracious time that Downrange grants us by running, marketing, distributing and accepting the liability of the wad.
Thank for your concern. I do appreciate it.
Regards. Nick |
