Gloftness has begun to embrace the SG 16 since the great DR16 scandal of 2014-2015. Well, we're running out of these now! BP has no SG16s and no cases of regular SG16. Midway is out as well. Looks like I'll have to shoot my 20 gauge this summer. Oh, darn!
I could start shooting the cases of factory Herters 16 gauge I've stockpiled.
Regards,
Jeff |

It,s called patience (the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. )
Plenty of Sg16s here :https://www.precisionreloading.com/cart.php#!c=14&ga=16 Gauge |

I saw PR had them and that is good. And I've been patiently waiting since last September.

Jeff , if you load RGL's , not to worry . Use 20 LorM's or Fed 20SI . They are virtually the diam of SP's and work fine . I've loaded some up in RST's , but haven't tried them yet . They should have the same reliability as an SP/RP of any other load . BP has had the 20M's on sale for quite a while - sometimes run a shipping deal ... isn't it peculiar that wads of all things (PLASTIC !)are in short supply . This is how some of us became so adept at MCGuivering loads in the past , eh GG ! We'll probably run the Claybuster wads to a short end as they are what's avail at the present . I have such a cool load with the DR"S and probably could use the CB's ok - I'll wait for the DR's Nick - they are that good ! |

I have lots of SG16s if you get desperate for some until the supply comes back. Prob have 6k wads. Maybe we should have a 20 ga Fox day sometime soon. Trying to find the pressure of those Noblesport low recoil 3/4 is 20 ga loads since this gun is chambered at 2 3/4

An LT-20 1100 is useful at times like this, as is about any other off-brand gauge gun. So are SP-16s in 2.5" hulls, and I've got some of the CB0078's to play with. I've seen that the CB can be used with DR-16 data so that is the plan this summer. I'll withstand the horrors of imminent powder migration although I can't say it's manifested itself in the loads I've used thus far. |

The CB wads should not have any migration. I contacted them this week and got responses within an hour. They appear to have plastic.
Hello Jeff,
We increased the OD of the powder cup on our CB0100-16 and CB0078-16 vs. the old WAA16 wad since most all 16 gauge shells are straight wall now. We have not heard from any customers that are using the CB0078-16 for 7/8 oz. loads other than the ones that really like them. The CB0078-16 is fairly new but most feedback has been positive. Have we sent you samples of this wad?
Thank you for contacting Claybuster wads.
Best Regards,

Nice gun!! I am going to shoot some 20 this weekend. I would assume the Noblesports are >10,000 psi, but your Fox should be fine with them.
I'm okay for now with 16 gauge-have a bit loaded up.

My wife wonders why I am always looking at "that 16 gauge talk site"? With the guns shown on here why would I want to look at anything else. Women, nah. As the saying goes "a woman is a woman , but, a cigar is a good smoke!"
Nice guns guys thanks for sharing.
Oh yeah, she was surprised when I got 3 squirrels with 3 shots from her Ithaca 37 this morning. Damned old workhorse runs fine! |

I don't get to this site as often as I used to- what was/is the great DR16 scandal? I still have about 4000, so haven't needed any.

wingshooter - mine have been backordered since Aug 19th . Have about 50 left that I won't use till the cavalry arrives . I know everyone involved is working hard and they'll be here soon . In that 9 mos , I only know Woodie was the only one to secure any , and that was because Recobs site was offline for a time . |

These 16 ga claybuster wads are awesome and can be used in either straight-walled or compression formed hulls. They are the only wad I use now.

I think there are still Remington SP-16s available; just use those and a half-box of spacers. |
