Great looking shell-----too bad the customer service is zero.I have NEVER dealt with any company that cared less for the customer.I bought 5000 .410 wads with a %10-20 rate of trash----wads not filled out,shotcups w/holes,etc.I still lhave hundreds of these if you want some--Called DR and the response was --OH WELL,WE HAVE A FEW FAILURES PER BAG Evil or Very Mad

NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A BAG OF ANY GAUGE FROM THESE FOLKS Evil or Very Mad

Sorry you had the bad experience with DR . I have not had any problems with them and because they make the DR-16 for us, it encourages me to buy their wads in different gauges and I have let them know that .

Also, I'm have to agree with you I haven't had a bad DR-16 wad yet.

FN - you could have taken those pics off MY loader . I love those rst's . My load has been 14.5 Red Dot , And it is one of the few loads that cycle my 48's and don't dish the heads . I've run 5 loads thru a couple test cases and they are still going . I just upped the load to 3/4 from 5/8 just to make the crimps tighten . Woodie got me another bag of DR's to get thru till the new ones show up , so full speed ahead . FYI - the feds I shortened don't look quite as smooth , but work just as well ! love em , love em , love em !

Still don't think I've read of anyone's great success with DR16's in a PW progressive press, but they sure look to work great off of MEC's.

Have not had a malformed DR-16 in the 3 bags I've loaded so far, and have a bag of their 7/8oz 12ga wad that haven't shown any obvious defects. From Nick's description he has to provide DR with a final inspection before they begin production so there must be a lack of QC ability somewhere in their operations. Guns Unlimited in Omaha sells a ton of DR product though, and they're still going strong. No 16's, although I imagine if I asked they could get me a case when available.

Stopped at the public range to shoot some skeet and spoke with a reloader who uses a DR 7/8oz 12ga wad. He's found a number of them with the petals still attached to one another. Not sure if they'd separate under pressure but assumes so. Don't think I've ever found that with Winchester, Federal, Remington or Claybusters.

The progressive that I use is an experienced PW Mult-o-Matic 600 when they were available only in 12 ga. The only 16 ga loader that I use is the 375B. Both systems require the user to place the wad either into the wad guide or directly into the hull. the DR16 wads work fine in the 375B, either sticking them into the hull by hand or using the wad guide. So I'm guessing that those experiencing trouble in the feeding of the wads have one of the systems where the wads come from a tube to the wad guide. Seems like with an "automatic" system there would be potential for adjustment problems.
