for all the modern 870 and 1100 16ga shooters out there:
the cheapo stamped steel piece of sh** that rem calls a choke tube wrench can now go in the trash
a browning invector plus 12 ga t-handle wrench will fit in rems 16ga tubes, a tad tight, but it does work
just passing along a public service message for all the "big green" owners out there.

The Browning 20 ga. T- handle fits the 16 invector tubes fairly well. It will seat in about 1/2 my skeet tubes, and won't work at all in the cylinder tube, but it's fine in the IC and tighter tubes. I heated the plastic fingers in some olive oil heated to 150 degrees. this softened them enough to spread them so they grab the inside of the tube well. I then dunked them in cool water to make them set. I was careful not to over heat and melt them.
I plan to make a new t wrench out of a piece of stainless tube and a stainless rod for the handle and the bits, unless Browning gets off its butt and makes a t handle for the 16 too.. |

Briley makes a nice 16 gauge choke tube wrench for a reasonable price. I have one and like it. |

For us lo-budget rednecks, a quarter and a Crescent wrench will take even a rusty one out. Sometimes the coin bends but one good swat from a 3 lb. hammer will return it to original shape. Never forget to clean and oil threads at every opportunity and then you only need the quarter |

Every Redneck I've ever known, including yours truely, should come equipped with a crescent wrench, a vise grips, one combination slot/phillips screwdriver, a copperhead pocket knife, a desent wood saw, and a 3 lb ball peen hammer. given these five tools, we can make anything else worth having. |

Hey, 16GG, don't forget the duct tape and the baling wire. |

That is for patching up and using up all the worn out stuff we've already made. |
