I have an opportunity to pick up some Long shot. I see several loads on the spread sheet at moderate pressures. Any one have first hand experience either good or bad. I tend to shoot only 7/8 or 1 Oz loads.

Thanks

Joe

I almost exclusively use Longshot especially for hunting. Some Universal once in awhile or for targets.
Longshot I think will work better with heavier payloads. Although I have used it with 1oz loads but I think the Universal would work better for 7/8oz loads.

I love Longshot. The 1oz loads can be average, fast or real fast.and pressure is low by comparison. The 1.125oz loads of #6 shot are killer. I think it gives the 16ga a much broader selection of speed / pressure ,increasing the usefulness of the gauge to all areas of shotgunning.

I wish I could find some longshot locally. None around. Is it at a local shop? I was just in the Adirondacks but didn't hit any shops.
