is the loose flair what causes some shells to fire sounding like,
bweeeeeef!.....pooooooweap!.....fwooooop!. |

Those funny noises are made by wads that have been torn at the obturating cup.
What can also cause those funny sounds is a wad that is undersized and has let a reasonable amount of powder migrate from under the cup into the compressible section of the wad. |

A loose SOMETHING will cause those sounds... if the fellow you're shooting with is making those sounds, try to stand upwind of him |

I've been expanding my claybuster for sometime now. I get much more constancy with expanded over powder claybuster wad. Cona. Averaged 1227 of 9 shots 1oz. 18.5 gr of 20/28. |
