Hi all, was looking around for some various loads and came across this one:
16ga
2 3/4" Federal Hull
Z-16 wad
Win 209 primer
24.5 grns Longshot
1237fps
6500 psi
1 1/8oz payload
Recipe is from Lymans 5th.
What concerns me is the low pressure for the amount of powder.
Just wondering about this one.
So.................what do you think?
Thanks!

Greg, that load specs a little too good to be true in my opinion, but Long Shot is funny and sometimes seems to defy logic. Maybe someone here has tried it. |

gjw,
The load is fine. I have loads with upto 28.0 grains of Longshot and 1 1/8 oz. of shot. |

I use a lot of LS and The point of it in 16 ga is exactly what you see. lower pressure to vel ratio. The load looks fine to me |
