I called Hodgdon over a year ago and they told me that yes PB was discontinued. I asked the guy I was talking to if they had a replacement and he said he didn't have any suggestions for a replacement. He wasn't real customer orientated. I did find an 8lb container on gunbroker. The price was dear but I have enough to last me quite awhile.
Regards. Gordon |

My supplier told me at least 18 mos ago that they were no longer making it. Several others were discontinued but I don't remember which ones as I had never used them so it didn't matter. I did use PB so it did/does matter! |

The PB powder was a GREAT powder for 1100 12 ga's . It just was pricey as they were the original ones to sell in less than 1# container . It is in the Green Dot / Int Clays speed of useage . It will continue to dry up and shows up on GB , but it is just so much easier to find GD at a user friendly price ! |

I still see PB on the shelf at the LGS. I like it for paper hulls as it duplicates the smell of my youth. Other than that, I use Green Dot. |

I had not hard that Clays was discontinued. I was told that Clays will now be manufactured in Canada instead of Australia. The others are gone or soon to be. |

sneem is right. We're seeing Canadian manufactured Clays and Int. Clays showing up here in WI/MN. |

I'm still sore about 4756 being axed. It was a particularly ideal powder for heavy steel payloads in 10 ga. Great performance with far less powder and recoil. It would be nice if Chris Hogdon would have the decency to replace it with something that could do the same. |

I spent days with my chronograph at my pattern board and discovered that SR4756 was the best powder for three loads. Two 1 ounce loads and one 1 1/8 ounce load. The patterns from these loads are the most consistent evenly spread patterns that I ever seen. Fortunately, I have enough for several years of bird hunting. |
