I knew about Connecticut, and Simmons, (didn't know about Pauline Muerrle). But, the only way I'm going to afford those options is if you share ~ %90 of your winnings from a successful (very successful) trip to the casino!!!
Alas, I'm much too poor otherwise.
I was actually serious though. Browning/Winchester (aka BACO) could have those guys in Japan (Mirku (sp?) ) do what they did when they did the special run of model 12's and model 42's. I own a 20ga and, it's a good gun. Certainly, they could do that w/ 16ga. And, Mod 21's, and, no doubt they'd be cheaper than Conn. (economies of scale and all that). Will it ever happen? I guess the odds are better on the casino option above.
Will you be sending me: Cash, check or money order? |

What are the chances of a Shot Show edition A5 Sweet with high grade wood, round knob stock, and more traditional checkering?! Browning, if you build it, we will buy

Folks will buy an imagined relaunch of a favored scattergun...they always do.
Whether the numbers will be sufficient to make more than a splash is the question waiting for an answer.
That splash is a tough gig.
Choke tubes hold no interest for me so that will not personally be an appeal.
Neither will steel capability, especially in the supposed lightweight proposed.
I doubt the weight reduction of 3/4 or a pound over my present Auto 5 Sweet will matter as part of the appeal that is undeniable, for me, is "shootability" and that extra small amount of weight delivers it in spades.
Or, I just miss and reckon that..."who wants to shoot 'em all?"....we naturally take pains to avoid wounding, which should go unstated.
If weight is an issue for any number of reasons then the 12 BUL will be trotted out for me to use....I again doubt that the new Browning 16 gauge offering will not carry the negatives to swatting stuff that the same low weight and balance tracks the 12 BUL like a tick.
While new in a scattergun can be nice, nicer still, to me, is the feeling of a scattergun that has been places with me...places cold and warm, with shots taken both hit and missed, with worn blue and scratches indicating memories and, where it saw the dogs that may have passed on to better coverts.
I am trying very hard to not be a good friend of scattergun manufacturers...or to folks looking for bargains on the used gun market.
We will see how well I succeed in avoiding the siren call of "hmmm" or "well, now this one might just be the ticket to ride." |

FWIW, A friend who is interested in one and Called Browning. They told him the Sweet 16's won't go out to their dealers until July 2016.
