You don't see many "A" prefix guns. That prefix was only used 1957-58 with the serial numbers mixed with "T" prefix guns (standard weight) for a total of 10,900. So this one is probably 1958 -- but it has a 1960s safety.
It looks to be in good but not pristine condition, it's hard to tell from the pictures. From what I can tell it's not exactly a bargain but worth the money -- provided you want a modified choke. |

I thought as much. the wear on the checkering at the wrist does not match that of the FE. The forend usually takes more hits than the stock, especially if used to hunt ducks from a boat. |
