I would like to purchase the Z 16 wad for loading ITX shot in a federal hull. It appears that BPI is out of stock for them. Is there a substitute for the Z 16? Thanks, Tom Kilgore

Z wads are a Baschieri & Pellagri product. Z wads are specifically designed for B&P and other Cheddite type European polyformed hulls which have bigger inside diameters. Z wads are closely similar in outside diameter to Cheddite and Gualandi wads which makes them too big for use in one piece compression formed WWAA 16 ga. hulls and Remington 16 ga polyformed hulls.

There is but one 16 ga. Z wad which is designed for 1 ounce loads. It can be used for lighter loads with filler wads. However, there are several 20 ga Z wads available. The 20 ga. Z wads are almost as big in diameter as the Remington SP16 and R16 wads. They might be useful for various weight shot loads w/o the need for fillers in 16 ga. WWAA compression formed hulls w/ tapered hull walls and the Remington polyformed hulls.

B&P ammo and components once were available in the USA through www.bandpusa.com. The site seems to be inactive or has been taken over by another entity as of now. You might be able to search on line for their contact info here in the USA. under Baschieri & Pellagri. Good luck.

I just received the #020Z16 wad in the mail from Ballistic Products yesterday, I only ordered 250 of them, for the same application, but for a 3/4 oz ITX load.

Thanks everyone. I will call BP early Monday and order if they have them. I am using the federal hull, ITX #6 with the OS card. It is working well. Good hunting to all, Tom
