Local gun store owner said that "THEY", meaning his Browning rep, ,thinks October..... maybe. My opinion; who really knows? I have no confidence in any news until I see one. |

I canceled my order. This delay gave me too much time to think. I hunted with a 20 gauge Montefeltro from age 22-32. Nice little bird gun, served me well, and this new SW16 might be, too. It just occurred to me one day that I haven't had a desire to own another ultra-light sub-12 ga. auto in the last 25 years. I guess I've just moved on and prefer OU's and SxS's for bird hunting. That said I do have a couple 12 ga. autos, one Belgian Auto-5 I use for duck hunting, and I do have one of the new A5 Hunters with a sling for spare gun on out of state pheasant hunts, and it serves as a spare duck gun.
Now if Browning would only come out with a new and lighter 16 gauge BSS... |

Charlie 16 ga, I hope your guy is right and my guy is wrong! Great news for all that pre- ordered. Can't wait until the verdict is in as to how well all of "YOU" like the gun. |

John posted on the gauges page of shotgun world that he had received a shipment of the 28" models.

Exciting news, Charlie! I don't suppose anyone has heard anything about the 26" models? I know I was hot for the Maxus and new A5 when they came out and both were released in 28" first with the 26" following a month or so later. Hope that isn't he case this time around. Just glad to hear they're showing up! |

You can exhale now...I just talked to John Boyd. He don't have any. I called Browning and was told none have shipped and they are hoping to begin shipping in October. |

I am completely lost then.
Randy Wakeman suggest he was even aware they are shipping according to the post.
Morningstar, do you mean the guns or the 26" version? |

John said he had NO Sweet Sixteen. He offered to put me on a list. I didn't press him on his post. I called Browning and was told they have not shipped a any Sweets to any dealers and did not foresee any going out before October. |

Well...........
A round knob would be nice, Dave! Patience is a virtue that obviously doesn't abide in many of us. Eventually, maybe,hopefully....who knows? |

I'm totally lost... How can an individual who represents a distributor say they have them in hand one day then the next claim they have none? Seems sort of sketchy to me... Not to be a jerk, but I think this Boyd fellow should probably explain his post. I realize people make mistakes but come on man... |
