Guys i am running out of options so I thought i would check here. I am in search of 375 winchester ammunition. I currently blow out the neck of 30-30 ammo but it does not take jacketed bullets well. If you know of any loaded ammo or even just brass please let me know. Thanks guys and Merry Christmas. |

Good Ole skeettx.
I did mean 375 and changed it in the post. I picked up a beautiful marlin 336 in 375 and have been hunting components and ammo for a little while now. I have called all the little gunships I know all over the country including the old man at AK in Canyon and have only come up with a few boxes, not cheap by the way. Colorado customs will load me some watered down cowboy loads but they are housed in 30-30 brass so I can't take advantage of the full potential of this great forgotten caliber. I hope all you guys are doing well and the club is still functioning. Take care and keep an eye out for me. Thanks. |

Thanks for looking and I have registered with over a dozen sites to be notified when it comes in stock. I spoke with a friend at Winchester and he told me it would probably be the summer of 16 before they would produce more. Guess I will keep hunting flea markets and forgotten gun shops until then. |

I have a 100 or so loaded rounds and lots of brass, for my 94 Big Bore, and some factory ammo, and some other stuff.
You ever coming back this way?

I wish we were. My wife and I both miss Amarillo but unfortunately we are here for a while. I have several leads on ammo that I will be meeting with shortly so I should be hopefully set for a little while but it never hurts to stock up. |

If we should see some in our travels, is there a certain load you want or anything you can get? At what max price? Wouldn't shipping make it prohibitive? |

I have seen prices up near and over $100 a box for factory ammunition. When the hamster gets back on the wheel in 2016, according to Winchester, they will make a production run once again. I am on the watch list of just about every ammunition site to try to secure some at closer to $60 a box.
I know that I can use 30-30 brass as well as 38-55 but the actual thickness of the brass is quite different and these loads cannot be loaded to the potential of the 375. Also, I have noticed a bit in the accuracy department dwindle as well but nothing that would not constitute a good hunting load.
I will continue my search and keep buying a box at a time as I find it. A gentleman of 24hourcampfire.com has 17 boxes but he wants $1600 for the whole lot and will not split it up. Shame.
Thanks guys and if you ever need any odd or old ammunition, I have several shops here that have been around and usually have a few dusty old shelves that I can rummage through. Take care and thanks again!

look here:
https://www.starlinebrass.com/order-online/long-range-black-powder.cfm
They have both length 38-55 cases.
All my BPCR cases are from Starline. I have found them to be consistent and of high quality. I probably have 2 or 3 thousand of their cases in different calibers. (45-70,90,100,110, 40-82 [made out of 90's] etc etc)
