Got a drill press as a gift and thought this year I'd try some roll crimping. Plan to grab a precision reloading crimper.
My issue as I have read it is my lowest rpm on the skil 3320-01 is around 590. It seems the best for reloading is around 300. Anyway easy to get there or is 590 okay? |

590 should be OK, give it a spin and see what happens. At that speed you probably wont need to be on the crimp for very long. I find RC'ing works best when you preheat the tool and keep it warm by having all the shells organized at hand and not let the tool cool down between crimps. |

In addition to having a warm tool to start, I have found that a little silicon or RIG grease applied to the tool initially helps! Don't overdo it!
