You gentlemen with your fancy measuring devices, have you looked at the dimensions of this wad to determine if the are simply a less voluminous version of the CB10016?
I was thinking of loading up some using a CB10016 load I have for 7/8 oz. In the past it always required fill using the CB10016.
I have other CB007816 recipes, but wanted to use some open powder I have instead. |

It is the same wad, but it has a small plastic bump added in the base of the shot cup, so it uses less shot. |

not to hijack this thread, but what can I use as a filler in the cb10016 to fill with 7/8 oz of shot |

If the only difference between the regular wad and the reduced capacity wad is a filled in portion in the shot cup, seems to me the situation is the same as the regular wad with a plastic foam spacer placed under the shot. |

Kennedy,
I've used over shot cards, stolen my son's generic brand Cheerios, the cardboard cut out of the cereal box, and navy beans among my fill materials. |

From others' posts on these two Claybuster wads, I understand the 7/8 ounce version is best used for one ounce loads in Cheddite type and Federal hulls w/o filler wads, while the one ounce version works for 1-1/8 ounce loads in the same hulls, again w/o filler wads. The same two wads work well as designated in the Remington RGL hulls for 7/8 and one ounce loads w/o filler wads. So we have two more very versatile 16 ga wads at our disposal. That's always good news. |

so I cut some cardboard disks, and put under the shot, now better crimps and no more pellets rattling around inside |
