Hi guys,
I need your input. I found a Model 12 16 guage in good condition except for the polychoke (yuck) and now for the serious problem there are 4 8x40 holes that have been drilled and tapped in the receiver. They are about 30 degrees fron center 2 in front near the end of the receiver and the next pair about 4 inches back.
I think they will need to be tig welded (pluged) and then need to reblue the rerceiver. It also has a non original buttstock.
They're asking $250.00 I want it as a field gun to match my 12 and and 20 guages.
Any idea what these repairs are going to cost, is it worth it?

$150 max, unless if it was an early production gun. Then $200 max, maybe. To put it right, you're going to spend how much? If they balk, walk away, there's less buggered ones out there.....

| Walk away now...there are certainly better representative pieces available of this fine gun...makes one wonder---if the owner or previous owner drilled holes, what else was done to it ? |

| holes in the receiver....turd on the end of barrel....after market wood...why would you even WANT it??.....sounds like its about ready for re-melt |
