I just put my name on the top of the list for one from my dealer. He thinks fall. although I won't buy it if the stock cannot be adjusted to fit me. A light semi auto in 16 gauge might just be the perfect bird gun? |

I'm on several other forums where the availability of the new A5 Sweet Sixteen has been discussed in length. From everyone's contact with dealers and Browning reps it looks like late October at the earliest. |

Back during SHOT show, there was a video of a Browning rep saying they were ready for shipping now. Then May/June. Then Sept/Oct. Now Jan '17? Makes me wonder if they've found something wrong. Or is it the usual industry ploy of getting a new gun hyped for a year before actually releasing it. |

If you look at the V3 from Remington, it took them over a year to get it out after announced. From following that story, I've heard this is the norm in the industry. |

Perhaps hype and delay sells guns? |

A quote from Randy Wakeman on Shotgunworld:
"A shipment is in route, 28 inch barreled models only. I should have one within two weeks." and then continues, "Apparently, the Vanna plant in Portugal has a 3 week shutdown, the first shipment went out prior to their vacation, quantity shipments are set to commence upon their return. I'd call it very late September/early October for widespread availability."
I plan on using it mostly for Pheasants so that would work just fine! |

Anyone heard any new news or rumors? Guy on Shotgun World (Randy Wakeman) is claiming that the first shipment is in the US and should be arriving at destinations soon. Just wondering if anyone else has heard or ready anything new? |

Larry Brown has one for evaluation and knows of at least one other in the hands of an evaluator. Don't know the lead-in times for those guys to submit their findings, but if they're going to hunt wild birds with them they're just starting to gather results. |
