Now that I am reloading 2.5 inch hulls I am at a lost for at having no boxes for the short loaded shells. I have a couple of MTM ammo boxes but really like plain old
card board boxes . Therefore, what do you use to store short shot shells ?

Glenn

25 16 ga shot shells fit perfectly in 1/2 gallon cardboard milk cartons, cut down with one side left as the top flap and two sides partially trimmed to fold over. Left Full length the cartons hold 75 16 ga. I'll post a photo later.

I make s filler similar to what Skeettx does but make it out of a square piece of cardboard of the required thickness.

Here is a photograph of a box of 16 ga, 5 to a side, 25 to the box. Height is adjustable by cutting the carton to desired height.

MTM boxes, as they are easiest to sort out all the different loads,

I have more than 20

The one gallon plastic zip lock baggies work for me. I just write the pertinent load data on the outside with a permanent marker so I don't have to try to guess what's in there.

Hmm!! I just put them back in the 2 3/4 boxes. A little loose but not sloppy loose and easy enough to tell the difference between 2 1/2 and 2 3/4 just by squeezing the sides.

I have made a coluple with the opening on one end so I can use my trap pouch. It's a bit fiddly as I have to employ duck tape to make it work.
