I've been waiting to see if Kent's bismuth shells become available again. $45 for a box of 25 is a good value for non-steel no tox. Anyone know when/if it might be back? If not, I need to order some itx soon before they run out.

Ditto!

I'd like to try the 16 and 12 gauge loads. This old Bismuth Cartridge Co. ammo i have seems to hit hard. It's 16 ga. 1 1/8 oz, 4's.

Mark I have no information on the Kent loads, I think they would be a great value.
I have bought the RST nice shot, 2 1/2" 1 oz loads for $75.00 for 25, which I know sounds bad, but there are only a couple of areas in Wyoming where I have to use them.

The last pheasant I dropped was using them out of a JP Sauer & Sohn sxs, w/ 29.5" barrels choked IC & mod.

Shotgun made in 1921, don't get much better than that!

That would be great Dale, except they stopped making it for some reason. Crying or Very sad

Cabela's website currently shows them with a 3-4 week backorder. We shall see.

Certainly Mark. If these Kent Bismuth shells don't come in stock by this autumn, pm me here. I'd be willing to help you out with a couple boxes of something from my stash.

I just received an email from RST, they haven't been able to load any nice shot because they can't get any, the manufacturer is supposed to be making more. This summer RST plans to be loading Bismuth, and nice shot when it becomes available. They expect to be able to offer no-tox ammo for the 16ga this fall.

Thought you guys would be interested.

Looked at the Kent Bismuth ad on Cabela's website. 12, 16, & 20ga shells are priced per 10 shells, the 28ga only is priced per box of 25.
At 15.99 per box of ten three boxes to get the 25, actually thirty. $48.00 plus shipping, still not too bad considering other options. Rolling Eyes

Thanks again guys. I wasn't even aware that Cabelas was selling Kent bismuth (even though it's currently in backorderable status). I'll keep an eye out for that as well. Not the kind of load I would want to shoot in my 1890's damascus Husky, but I have a newfangled 1920's Husky mod. 100 hammer gun with sandvik steel barrels I can use. For the damascus gun, there's a 2.5" 7/8oz itx roll crimped load in the 6,700 psi range that would be perfect.
