Received a few boxes of 6's yesterday. I didn't realize these were 1300 fps. I bedded the entire head and lock plate recesses of the stock on my Husky in marine tex epoxy, which has a tensile strength of 13k psi. It's the stuff they repair engine blocks with. I recommend it over acraglas. The gun only weighs 6lbs though, so these are going to be some stout medicine. Starting to have second thoughts, and wondering if I shouldn't sell these and go the ITX reload route instead. Hmm... |

If you were to part with the Bismith I would be interested. |

I have been saving my Cabela's Buck for a Garmin Astro, but I allocated a hundred of it to mostly cover 7 boxes of the 16 gauge 5's because if I wait they will be sure to drop it from the line.
The 1 oz. @ 1300 fps is a little frisky, but my Silver Hawk is freshly glass-bedded and weighs just over 6.5 pounds, and no worries with my Rem. 11. |

Where do we go to read this????
Mike
You can see the exchange on the questions-answers under "16 gauge speed.". My handle is "Zeropointfield." It will be interesting to see if they delve into this. |

That top link should get you to the non-lead page at Cabela's. Then open up the Kent Bismuth page. I tried to copy-paste the Kent Bismuth page at Cabela's, but it didn't work.
The 2nd link above takes you to the Kent page specs. |

Why not go straight to the source and contact Kent? Cabela's is only the retailer. If they are 1200fps loads, Kent may not be aware of the misprint on the box. Otherwise, they need to correct their website.

Here is what I just send to Kent
Hello
We of the 16 gauge family thank you for making and selling the 16 gauge bismuth ammo.
Our question, is that it is being sold as 1200 feet per second and the boxes are marked 1300 feet per second.
Which is correct?
Here is one of the threads of discussion.

Very Respectfully
