Nice looking gun. I notice a lot of Fox Sterlingworths and owners talking about Philly, etc, guns. I note this one is made by Savage. What is the significance of all those different Foxes? Is one significantly better than another?
On the posted gun, I notice a single trigger. Selective or non-selective?

| A non selective trigger. Savage purchased the Fox Company about 1926. Thus every thing after that has the Savage stamp on it. Not sure about the year of purchase. This is not a Sterlingworth. It is an SP Grade. It was made about 1932-33. There were only 164 16ga made in this model. Because of the 30" barrels and single trigger it is very rare. |
