Since Winchester is making the Browning shotgun ammo, I would venture to guess if you read the side panel of the 16 gauge Browning ammo it will say made by Winchester Australia. Winchester hasn't made 16 ga ammo in the U.S. for years probably follow suit with the 16 ga Browning ammo also. |

Yes, it does say "Made in Australia" on the side of the box. |

Visited Sportsman's Warehouse today and remembered to bring a magnet with me. The new Browning 16ga ammo has steel rims. $13.99/box is a lot to pay for a 1 oz. Winchester Game Load in a glossy black hull. But someone is buying them, the flat was almost gone.
Checked the 12ga Browning shells and they have steel rims also. So much for the 12's & 20's being black AA hulls. |

Thanks for that Square Load. I suspected as much.
Olin is not going to re-introduce the discontinued 16 ga compression formed premium hulls no matter how much we wish it s. All 16 gauge ammo made today is basically an economy grade product. Brass rims on economy grade hulls are a thing of the past. We have what we have and must do with it. The steel rims are manageable if we use the right tools in the right way. Just how it is. |
