Our usual Weds gang met at Newark the other day , and one of the guys is clearing out some old timers stuff . The usual 16ga ''finds'' always head my way , and a small bag of Rem & Win mags was the grab ... however - in the group was a couple slugs - no big deal except for one . A Win slug in a compression formed case with LOW brass . Have never seen a slug , factory , in a low brass case ! ... A side note : I've shot a few power mags now and actually like shooting them in the 940E . However , I have a little trepidation shooting these old XX and Express mags because I know they WHACK you !! I'll have to get the heavy padding out and see how it goes ! |

Sounds like a proof load to be fired in a SEG (Someone Else's Gun). |

Some years ago I purchased a 5 pack of Super X Buckshot loads for my 16. They were factory low brass comp form hulls marked #1 Buck and in the old White box with orange/red banner superimposed with Winchester. Case heads were Winchester Western. Obviously some deer loads were loaded in low brass hulls by the factory.
