Don't anybody try holding your breath, I got an email from Ithaca stating that the turn around is 6 to 8 weeks. Maybe in time for quail season but not for Dove.

I got the gun back in September from Ithaca. But my wife fell ill and we have been struggling with that for these past months.
But today I took a little time away and tested the repair with 50 rounds of Herters ammo that had previously given me problems. I am happy to report that I had no issues with stuck hulls and there was no evidence of case head bulge at the extractor notches.
I am posting two pictures (maybe) before and after. But they don't show much. According to the Ithaca spokesman they welded up the extractor notches then recut them.

One further note: Chambers on all guns are supposed to be clean and dry. |
