I just noticed they are no longer listed at Recobs, so I checked a few other places and found they are no longer carried in a few other places. Then I checked Remington's website and they do not list it as a wad for sale. Have they discontinued direct sales of their wads in 16 gauge? Crying or Very sad

It wouldn't surprise me if they did. I contacted them a year or two ago about some rifle ammunition they listed as unavailable and the guy said they were busy making other stuff. Appears if they don't have a big contract for something it gets dropped by the wayside.

After seeing this post, I just went to MidwayUSA and saw that they had them in stock, so I ordered a bunch. Guess I am now a Hourder.

Well guess I can still use cb100 in their hulls if it is true.

They just seem to have pretty much wrote us off a little more since the 1970's.

I do not know if this is correct, but I was told that both Remington and Winchester will no longer sell components (brass, bullets and wads)
SO GET THEM WHILE YOU CAN Smile

BPI, Gamaliels and Grafs still have them.

So does Precision Reloading & Brownells, but in addition to Recobs I noticed Opticsplanet dropped them just recently too. I hope they are still going to be around, but the big concern is they no longer show on their website.

I do hope they don't include primers in that!

If true, there are plenty of aftermarket wads for 12. 20, 28 and 410. My understanding was that OpticsPlanet and MidwayUSA where one and the same, with some differences in what they carried. In any case I now have enough 16 Gauge 1 1/8 Oz wads to last me and my shooting buddy for a while.

I can't find any connection - not to say there isn't any at some level.

MidwayUSA is privately owned by Larry Potterfield (other owners are possible, even probable).

OpticsPlanet is a part of Ecentria Group, Inc. Here's a link to the SEC Form D filed by Ecentria Group and there's no direct connection to MidwayUSA or Potterfield listed.

much as I don't like to see any options go away , I won't miss them much . Too many other good options and it just seems to be one more bad Remington decision . Their flight path is down , and no stopping the descent .

I just looked at Remington's web site and they still show them. Maybe the other places just don't sell enough of them so they are dropping them?

Sorry folks. after reading matt's post I went back to Remington's site and found that I was looking at their 'target' wads, but their hunting wads. Didn't go down far enough on the web page.

I think this is my second chicken little moment in the last few weeks. First Quality Arms posting they received the new A5's which was then found to be a mistake, now this.

Well I would rather be wrong then write on this one!
