4setters are your 16 gauge Herter's wads like this??

fn16ga if you like the way these wads look, and if maybe 4setters has some extra in 16 gauge, he might send you some for testing, perhaps, possibly, maybe Smile

Skeet,
I've looked in an "easy" place or two for the Herter's wads and haven't put my hands on them yet--will look in a few more places tomorrow. Since I haven't used any in years, they aren't on top of the loading bench, if you know what I mean.

Retirement/volunteering keeps me too busy--I think I'll get a job so I'll have some time to do some fun things!

The wad on the left appears to be the same as the ones I have. FN is welcome to some of them if I find them and he wants them. I don't think I have a lot of them; perhaps 50-100?

I do remember my brother loading a bunch of these up in the late 70s and I banged them at quail. Can't recall my impression at the time however.

Stay tuned.

mw

skeet and fn;

Wrong again. I located my Herter's 16 gauge wads (in the 3rd bin I looked in). They are the 2nd from the left in the photo that skeet provided, instead of the first from the left. They are bulging a big zip lock, so I suspect there is 150-200 of them (ain't gonna count). While old, I took out several and they seem pliable enough to load. If FN wants them, I'll put em in a box and head them his way.
