here's my take and ya'all can have a laugh !! . The shot is the big bang and begins expanding on the fire . If you have a hole near the center @ 25yds , it should only get bigger at say 35yds . No matter what the dimension . However , between gravity and the fact that the round spheres don't fly in a bullet straight trajectory , the hole can move / fill (or spread )as distance gets farther . Therefore , I like to see a fairly uniform coverage when its on paper . And because the pheas isn't at that exact distance when fired at , maybe the real deal for patterning is to set up targets at 5yd intervals and shoot a load that covers them all and look for holes to develop or fill !!! ( I just like even and on POI Confused Confused )
