My, my, getting a little testy are we? Must be all this pattering getting you worked up.

Lay off the patterns for a week, and then see if you don't cool down a little. Wink

I didn't know I had offended you Dave, if I did I sincerely apologize.
Everybody has their ways, yours are not the same as mine, and I am sure mine aren't regarded too highly by you.

I will refrain from any further comments on your posts.

Dale

Yesterday I took a day PTO off from work and had the privilege of spending it shooting sporting clays with Dave over in Wi. I haven't been on here long and don't know everyone and asked Dave about a couple. One thing we both said is that we have high regard and respect for Dale. Just saying....

Sorry Dale, I misread the tone of your post. I'm getting cranky this weekend after spending my last day of summer freedom very enjoyably with Cold Iron yesterday. Next week 25 kids are walking through that classroom door whether i'm ready or not and that action is strapped on until mid June. Love my career, but it's hard to switch gears! No excuse for my being rude though.

Cold Iron, as you know my wife is from Minnesota along with my mom's side of the family. They would approve of that picture unfortunately. What is it with Viking fans?

Dave, too much technical stuff going on here! I am a cynical SOB, and what I say at times can be taken wrong if you are not an old Army Sergeant. As I said before, I am sincerely sorry for any bad feelings I inflicted on you.

Back at ya, Dale! I have a bad habit of misreading people's comments at times, but I've been working on it and i'm a lot better than I used to be. I've been a blabbermouth around here this summer. The river's been high with all the rain, so instead of fishing I keep finding shotgun projects. We'll both be feeling better when we start hunting birds.

Back when I was employed I had to attend training. One of the topics that was regularly covered involved communication. I rather doubt the numbers but I recall the instructor would state that only 7% of the information we receive is the actual words. The rest being tone/volume/inflection of voice and what they called "non-verbals". While I doubt that the text amounts to only 7% of the information, it is clear that when the only information is what we read on the screen, with no other input, misinterpreting what was said and how it was meant is not only very possible but quite probable. this thread is a prime example.
