I'll miss a few so you'll have some to shoot at. |

Nice, Greg. What a big smile!
The pheasant on the right with the mottled head colors, is that a juvenile? I am extraordinarily ignorant when it comes to wild pheasant.

Hi, yes it is a young one, still had egg shell on his a$$. This one must have come from a late hatch. So far we've been getting a mix of young and older birds, but this one is the youngest by far.
Thanks all for the kind words, they are very much appreciated!
Best,
Greg |

My first bird with the new pup - near Mott, North Dakota . She ran down several roosters today. Proud of the kid. Looking forward to many more seasons together. 1700 miles to get here and all worth it. |

Great photo, Cowdoc87!
Nothing like watching a pup's light come on. I'm in the same process with my youngster. Fun! |

I too was in NoDak last week and had a great week hunting around Elgin. My young DD ran his wheels off...
Nothing like the wide open space out there. |

First woodcock of the season taken over a point by my setter Thicket. I was carrying "The Twig" my little no-name Belgium hammergun.

Great pics Rick! Love that little Belgian gun. Twig, indeed.
Here are a few pics from a recent chukar hunt. Only found one covey, but Briar pinned them in a brushy gully and I managed to snag one. Found a nice covey of quail too.
This was my first hunt with this little 6lb Husky mod. 100 16 hammer gun. This gun shoots dead on with both barrels and is my favorite chukar gun. Converted it to straight grip, and need to re-blue, re-checker, hide the repairs around the lock plates, and add some grain and custom art to the rest of the wood.

UncleDanFan - I thought you chukar guys refused to carry nice guns b\c of the concern of damage? You have got to be the only hunter chasing those birds with a hammer gun. |

Mark,Alan, Great dog photos. Mark, your Husky is the gun artists's version of the cobbler's children having no shoes. But it works.... Gil |

I've chukar hunted all my life, and have only dropped my gun once, about five years ago, and got a scratch on the barrel. Life is short! Enjoy the gun. And chukars are such a challenge to begin with, that getting one with a hammer gun makes it all the more sweet. |
