With the Cabela's/Bass Pro merger happening I thought I'd snag a flat or two of the Herter's 1 oz. #8 loads, but I can't find them on the Cabela's web site. Anyone have a link? |

You are right !! 16 ga #8 is no longer listed. Only #8 is in 12 ga. Maybe than ran their stock down on purpose so Bass Pro will have to pick up the restocking cost. Maybe Bass Pro told them not to restock, who knows. |

I called and had a long talk with a Cabelas customer service rep. She said that they were currently out of stock, but not listed as discontinued. The restock date was too far out to sell me any on backorder, but she said they should still be available in the future. I explained that they were a necessary shell for shooting at gun ranges, and encouraged her to make a note that their absence was missed. |

I really like those shells. Went to Rogers Mn store yesterday to buy some, there was zero on the shelf. |

Unless I am missing something the 1 1/8 oz 7 1/2 s are gone as well. Oh well it will force my lazy butt to get to reloading!

DF I was at Rogers yesterday too. Didn't see the new Browning 16 ammo that they had last time I was there either. No Bismuth either |

Glad that I have a flat on hand, and a couple hundred empties as well, of the 1 ounce #8. |

no Herters 16s in the Wheeling,Wva store, or in their huge distribution center for the eastern US. Probably have 750 empties, and 3 full cases. I typically cut them down to 2 1/2 inches. The guys who bitched about me scrounging empties while we shot sc will really be singing the blues. Nobody seemed to know if or when they would be back in stock. I hope for all of us soon |

Lets hope that when it reappears it won't have a large price increase. |

I ordered five flats by mistake last month, only wanted to order two but with free shipping I kept them anyway. Now I'm glad that I did ! |

Probably a good idea for everyone to drop an email to Cabela's customer service and let them know how much we appreciate the product and will continue to buy it. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to let them know we have a group called the 16 gauge society. I already dropped them a line and let them know. It may not help but I'm sure it won't hurt. |
